For twenty-five years Gordon worked at the center of some of the world’s most complex and consequential private lives — advising UHNW families across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe on the full range of matters that fall outside traditional legal and financial advisory roles.

That work began in London, evolved through the founding of Mint Lifestyle — one of the earliest lifestyle management firms of its kind — and continued through Private Beverly Hills, a buyer-side property advisory focused on the Los Angeles market.

James Bell Advisory is the most deliberate expression of that experience. It was founded after a conversation with his brother following the loss of both parents — a moment that made clear there was still thirty years ahead, and a question worth asking: what should they look like?

Gordon works with a small number of families at any one time. Retainer-based, conflict-free, and fully present when it matters.
